DoGoodBiz is a nature-based creative studio in Portland, Oregon. We work with small businesses, sole proprietors, nonprofits, and movements that want their work to be a force for good and are tired of marketing that runs on hype, trends, and grind.
We start with developing your brand and website, then tend to community building, content design, and establishing sustainable marketing systems that help you become known and trusted by the people you're here to serve.

We help community-rooted practitioners, small businesses, and movements become known and trusted in the communities they're built to serve. Brand and web as the foundation, outreach and marketing as the ongoing growth engine. We call this a creative ecosystem.
Most studios hand you a brand and a website and call it finished. We treat them as soil. What grows from there is ongoing: the outreach that brings the right people to your door, the content that keeps working long after it's posted, and the community that holds it all together.
Seasons, not sprints
We design with ecological frameworks in mind: how living systems grow, rest, and support each other. That means planning your marketing in seasons, letting some things compost, and never mistaking constant output for growth.
Marketing in your true nature
Using our Ecological Roles of Care framework, we look at how you naturally build trust and what methods align with your impact style, then put your energy into the channels and strategies that fit. Not every business needs to post video content every day. Some align with a newsletter, a podcast, or a well-tended local presence.
A web, not a ladder
We don't focusing on growing audiences or treating people like nothing more than data points. We focus on growing webs of relationship, where every person is a valuable part of your community, and growth comes from contribution, not extraction.

Every price on this site is a starting point. We offer budget-based and custom pricing for every project, and we don't treat money as a taboo subject.
Pro bono for movements
Each quarter we take on a limited number of pro bono projects for people with a strong mission and limited financial access.
Teaching, not trapping
We show you how your brand, website, and marketing systems work, so you're never dependent on us to keep them running, unless you are seeing to hire us for an ongoing creative partnership!
No manufactured urgency
You won’t find any countdown timers, fake scarcity, or fear-based selling around here. We don’t apply these types of approaches to anyone else’s work, either.

We credit the ecological and Indigenous traditions our frameworks learn from, and design for the communities you serve rather than one narrow idea of what "professional" looks like.

Yes. Movement builders, nonprofits, and values-driven causes are at the heart of who we work with, and we hold a limited number of pro bono spots each year.

Every project starts with a conversation about what you're building and who it's for. From there, we send a custom services guide with various options for scope, timeline, and price. By the end, you'll have a clear understanding of your options. If you decide to move forward with a package, we will establish your timeline for getting started.

Absolutely. While we're based in Portland, Oregon, we work with clients across the US and beyond, and our team also spans the US. Everything we do translates well to remote collaboration; we use shared planning tools, video calls, and clear async communication to make it feel just as connected as in-person work.
